Samuel Eto’o to Leave Russia for Inter, Chelsea or L.A Galaxy

Samuel_Eto'oCameroonian football striker may soon leave his Russia club, FC Anzhi Makhachkala. This follows a decision by Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov to sell all of his star players following a disappointing start to the season.

Media sources say Eto’o has had a face-to-face talk with Anzhi owner Suleyman Kerimov. The striker is expected to continue with his Russian club until January 2014 before moving to either Chelsea, Inter-Milan or US based L.A Galaxy which have all shown interest.

While Inter is trying to facilitate Eto’o’s return to Italy, Jose Mourinho is also reportedly interested in reuniting with the striker after their successful spell together in Inter-Milan. Press rumours also has it that Napoli of Italy is also interested in the Cameroonian goal scorer and are monitoring his situation closely with a view to making an enquiry in the coming weeks.

At Anzhi Makhachkala, the owner Suleyman Kerimov has reportedly reduced his funding for the club by 60%. He has therefore offered to reduce the salaries of star players if they wish to stay. Key Star players who might be affected or may leave include: Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o, French footballer Lassana Diarra and Brazilian Willian Borges da Silva.

Meanwhile Mr. Kerimov is planning for a cheaper approach to running the club by investing in the club’s youth academy instead.
