Football: Samuel Eto’o…Most Likely Move to AS Roma

According to African Celebrities Magazine Football sources, the transfer of Cameroon’s ace striker Samuel Eto’o to AS Roma in Italy is almost a done deal. Football experts and Eto’o fans the world over are eagerly waiting for confirmation of this transfer deal. It must be categorically said that both AS Roma and Samuel Eto’o are yet to publicly confirm if Eto’o will play for Roma next season.

However the rumor mill is running at high speed in relation to the most likely team to feature Cameroon’s all time highest goal scorer with about 56 goals. That team as of this moment is most likely AS Roma.

It has been reported that AS Roma Coach Rudi Garcia is a great admirer of Eto’o, who this summer is on a free transfer after parting ways with Chelsea FC in London. AS Roma finished second place last season in the Italian Serie A.

Also going to AS Roma is Eto’o’s former club mate at Chelsea Ashley Cole. Cole has already signed a contract around 7 July, 2014 in Rome, the Italian capital. The club is now talking with Eto’o to include the second former Chelsea player to join their ranks.

It should be reported that AS Roma will face off against Manchester United in Denver (USA) on July 26, 2014 for a match which is part of the Guinness International Cup. If the Transfer deal with Eto’o goes through, the striker might be featured in the A.S Roma squad as soon as the 26th of July in that match, assuming his leg is well enough and all things go as expected.

There are however several other teams still interested in the Cameroon international. Among them is Arsenal FC and Tottenham FC in England.
