Constance BK, a young talented Cameroonian Afro pop and soul singer resident in Montreal Canada has won the HORIZONS NORD SUD & SERVICES (HNSS) Award of Excellence for ‘Best Artist of The Year 2013’.

The announcement was made on Saturday October 5, 2013 during the Intercultural Gala of Excellence 2013 held in Montreal Canada. The award ceremony is aimed at recognizing outstanding achievements of immigrants in different areas, and values individuals and organizations who have demonstrated hard work and success in Quebec, Canada.

Present at the ceremony was his Excellency minister of culture Québec Canada Mr Maka Kotto , the Ambassador of Canada to Haiti among others.

The event was characterized by lots of musical entertainment which included artists such as Italian/Canadian artist Marco Calliari, Cameroon’s Moni Bile, intackto and more.


Constance BK released her first Official single ‘Set me free’ last December 2012 from her upcoming EP, which has caught the attention of many around the globe. Her recent single is ‘Mama I love you…a song which is dedicated to all mothers in the world.

Constance Bk was born on May 31, in Bamenda Cameroon. Her Music career began by singing gospel in the church choir. She then continued as a Radio host, songwriter and Backup vocalist for local artists. She was also a member of a girl band called ‘the cherubic Queens’. In 2004 Bk travelled to Germany where she was exposed to singing and performing.  Known for her deep sassy voice, Bk rapidly gained her grounds as a solo artist back in 2010 and has had the opportunity to perform in multiple shows around the globe in territories such as Cameroon, Germany and Canada.

She landed a nomination recently for Best Female Artist for African Entertainment Award Canada 2013. She has had the opportunity to open concerts for African Music legends such as Meiway (Cote d’ivoire), Brackets from Nigeria, Cameroon’s legend Nkotti Françoise, Ahadji toure, Douleur and many more. She is expected to open Timayas’ concert in Montreal this October 12, 2013. She was a guest on BBC Afrique music show ‘C’est le Moment’ with Host Ata Ahli. BK has also appeared on cover Magazines such as ‘La Tribune Laurentienne Montréal Québec’, ‘Les Montréal Africaine’, ‘The Cameron herald’ etc.

She teamed up last March 2013 with 8 talented artists from 3 continents under KVN Production and released a Mixed Taped Album titled ‘Women for women’ which included her recent single ‘Mama I love you’…a song which is dedicated to all mothers in the world.

Her music influences are Annie Anzouer, Charlotte Dipanda, Tony Braxton, Whitney Houston, Sonique and Cher.
